Top Walmart MoneyCard complaints
Before we provide details on how to reach Moneycard customer service and speak to a live representative, we first want to discuss the top reasons cardholders are calling customer service and what you need to know before you call.
Replacing Lost or Stolen Card
The number one reason cardholders call Walmart MoneyCard customer service is to get a replacement card.
If you find yourself in a situation where your MoneyCard is lost or stolen, the quickest way to get a new one is to call customer service.
Note that it may take a while for the replacement card to get to you. In the meantime, you will not be able to use your card to make purchases.
You will be charged a card replacement fee, which is usually $3.
If you want your replacement card to be expedited to you, you can pay $15 for expedited shipping. Be sure to tell the customer service agent that you want your card rushed to you.
Otherwise, you just have to wait and hope your card arrives sooner.
Some cardholders have had to wait as long as 2 – 3 weeks after they requested a replacement card to receive one in the mail.
Another top reason cardholders are calling customer service is to dispute unauthorized transactions on their card account.
Cardholders are reporting that funds are being stolen from customer Moneycard accounts with frequency and it’s becoming very difficult to get the issues investigated and the funds restored.
If you are a victim of fraud on your Moneycard account, it is important to call customer service right away.
However, before you call them, make sure you have reviewed the transaction detail to make sure this is not a transaction you made that you forgot about or a transaction you made that is just being posted by the merchant.
In addition, the more information you can provide customer service about what happened, the better.
As a result, be sure to document when you became aware of the fraudulent transaction, the amount of the transaction, the date of the transaction and the reason why you are sure you did not make that purchase.
Get Dispute Form
As we have explained above, an increasing number of cardholders are experiencing suspicious and fraudulent transactions on their accounts.
Before Walmart MoneyCard customer service can begin an investigation into your claim, you will have to complete and mail in a dispute form.
One of the top reasons people call customer service is to get the dispute form.
The entire dispute process is a source of frustration for many cardholders. Here’s why.
When you are a victim of fraud, time is of the essence. However, Walmart MoneyCard requires cardholders who have experienced fraud on their account to complete a dispute form.
Failure to send in the dispute form in a timely manner will delay the investigation of your claim.
This creates a whole set of issues for cardholders involved.
First, because they are a potential victim of fraud, their card is locked and cannot be used. They are then issued a replacement card, which may take a while to arrive.
Second, the missing money in the account may not be restored right away until Walmart MoneyCard begins its investigation.
It may sometimes take 10 days before the provisional credit is put in the cardholder’s account. In some cases, it could take longer to receive the temporary credit and you could be without the stolen funds for a while.
Even if you are able to get your dispute form in on time, you may have to wait up to 45-90 days for your claim to be investigated if your fraud issue is complex.

I lost my debit card Feb.21. So I called customer service to cancel the card. They canceled the lost debit card. I ordered a new card and was told I would receive it within 7 to 10 work days unless I paid $15 . Then I would receive it in 2 to 3 days and I would have to be there to sign for the new debit card. I agreed thinking I would be home. I live in South Carolina but I work in Texas. I was supposed to go home to S.C. but the winter storm still has me in Texas working. So I’m not gonna be in S.C. to sign for it. Now I have been trying to talk to somebody or any kind of way I can tell my situation and get it redirected to where I am, TEXAS. But only got through to CHAT with a Professional. Explained all of my situation clearly. They chatted me, basically, “ You need to get a lawyer and ask him what I needed to do. I said, For What? I need to get it redirected. Explained it over and over to no avail!! So what do I do ?Somebody shoot me!! I done had enough of this . But now I don’t know how I can get my d__n money ?
I’m sorry to say this has been the worst experience I’ve had with a Christmas gift ever. A family member gave me a $50 card and probably gave several to other family members. I had to “register” it online and in order to get the funds I had to “sign up” with my social security number. Then I received a “new card “ with my name on it which now is worth $45. When I finally was able to reach a human I was informed the account is charged $5 each month! This is inappropriate and shame on you Walmart. This was intended to be a gift for Christmas and it’s now February 3rd. I’ll never get a gift card from you again.
