Free ATM network

The Turbo Visa Debit Card has over 20,000 nationwide network of free ATMs. To find a free ATM nearby, click here.

For ATM withdrawals made outside of the Turbo Visa Debit Card ATM network, a $2.50 fee will apply. Plus any fee the ATM owner may assess.

Multiple Ways to Add Funds

Your card comes with several convenient ways to add funds.

1. MoneyPak

First, you can deposit cash using MoneyPak at 70,000+ retailers nationwide including 7-Eleven, CVS, Dollar General, Rite Aid, Walgreens and more.

2. Reload at the Register

Second, you can deposit cash at the register of 100,000+ retail locations nationwide, including 7-Eleven, CVS, Dollar General, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Walmart and more.

This is done through the Green Dot at the Register cash service.

Here’s how it works:

Hand the associate your cash, they’ll swipe your card, and it’ll load automatically.

However, a reload fee of up to $4.95 applies.

Also, reload and card balance limits apply. Be sure to keep your receipt just in case you need to reference it later.

3. ASAP Direct Deposit

Get your pay up to 2 days before payday or get your government benefits up to 4 days before benefits day.

However, it’s important to note that the timing of your Direct Deposit depends on deposit verification.

Furthermore, it also depends on when Turbo Debit Card gets notice from your employer or benefits provider and may vary from pay period to pay period.

Robust Mobile App

The Turbo Card mobile app, which is free to use, is available for download at the App Store for Apple devices or on Google Play for Andriod devices

Turbo Vault

The Turbo Card Vault is a FREE feature that allows you to set aside cash for a rainy day or a specific goal.

You can use it to stash cash for safekeeping, emergencies, or future purchases.

However, money in your Vault cannot be spent on purchases or cash withdrawals until you move the money out of the Vault.

There are no additional fees to use the Vault, but money in your Vault does not earn interest.

How to Activate Turbo Debit Card

When you receive your Turbo Debit card in the mail, typically within seven to 10 business days after your card is requested by your TurboTax professional, you will have to activate the card before you can begin using it.

Here’s how to activate your Turbo Debit Card:

The first step to activating your Turbo Debit Card is to visit the Turbo Debit Card website and click on “ACTIVATE CARD” as shown in the image below.

Next, you will be taken to a page like the one below.

Once there, you will be asked for the following information to activate your card:

  • 16 Digit Debit Card Number
  • Expiration Month and Year
  • 3 Digit CVV Number at the back of your Debit Card

Once you enter your card number, expiration date and the security code that’s provided with your card, click “Next,” and you’ll receive confirmation that your card is activated.

    How to Add Money to your Turbo Card

    There are three ways you can add money to your Turbo Debit Card.

    Option 1 – Add cash to your card

    You can deposit cash to your Turbo Card at thousands of participating locations nationwide,

    Option 2 – Set up Direct Deposit

    Another option for adding funds to your card is to enroll in direct deposit.

    When you enroll in Turbo Debit Card’s ASAP Direct Deposit, you can get your pay up to 2 days before payday or your government benefits up to 4 days before benefits day.

    Here’s how it works:

    Many employers and benefits providers send payment instructions ahead of the actual payday.

    If your employer or benefits provider does so, Turbo debit card will deposit the amount on your card when we receive payment instructions, instead of waiting for the actual payday.

    How to set up Turbo Debit Card Direct Deposit

    Setting up direct deposit is easy! Just follow these simple steps:

    Step 1 – Find out about Direct Deposit

    First, ask your payroll or benefits office if they offer direct deposit.

    Step 2 – Locate Turbo Debit Card Account and Routing Number

    Second, if they do offer direct deposit, the next step is to locate your Turbo Debit Card routing and direct deposit account number by logging into your account.

    Another way to obtain your Turbo Debit Card routing and direct deposit account number is to text DD to 83854. Your routing and direct deposit account numbers will be delivered to your mobile phone (carrier message and data rates apply).

    Step 3 – Provide Direct Deposit Information to Employer

    Third, provide your direct deposit account number and bank routing number to your payroll or benefits office.

    Make sure the name on file with your employer or benefits provider matches the name on your account.

    Be sure to ask your payroll provider, how long it’ll take them to set up your direct deposit.

    If it takes longer than expected to receive your first direct deposit on your card, check back with your payroll or benefits office.

    Option 3 – Deposit a Check

    The third way you can add money to your Turbo card is through check deposit.

    Option 3 – Balance Via Text Message

    Once you’re enrolled to receive text alerts about your Turbo Debit Card account, you can use the text commands below to check your balance and transaction history and other information about your account.

    For example, to check your balance, text “BAL XXXX” (XXXX is the last 4 digits of your card number) to 43411.

    You will receive a text message back with your Turbo Debit Card account balance.
