Here are the most frequently asked Green Dot MoneyPak questions:

How Does MoneyPak Work?

A MoneyPak only works with eligible, activated prepaid, or bank debit cards.

Your name must appear on your prepaid or bank debit card in order to be able to use it with MoneyPak.

Here’s how to use buy and use the Green Dot MoneyPak.

Step 1 – Buy a MoneyPak at Retail Location

MoneyPak is available at 70,000 retail locations nationwide, such as pharmacies, grocery stores, and convenience stores. This includes the following stores:

  • Walmart
  • Safeway
  • CVS
  • Rite Aid
  • Dollar General
  • Dollar Tree
  • Family Dollar
  • 7-Eleven
  • Walgreens
  • Kroger
  • Meijer
  • Ralph
  • Winn Dixie

Pick one up for a flat fee of $5.95 and load up to $500.

Step 2 – Create a secure login

The first time you use a MoneyPak, you will need to go to MoneyPak.com to create a secure login.

To create a secure login, you will be asked to provide some personal information, including:

  • Your Name
  • Social Security Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Email Address
  • Mailing Address

Step 3 – Deposit money to a Prepaid or Debit Card

Once you have created an online account, you can now add money to your prepaid or bank debit card using MoneyPak.

Here’s how.

Enter the number of the eligible prepaid or bank debit card where you would like to deposit the funds from the MoneyPak.

The entire amount of your MoneyPak will be deposited on that prepaid or debit card.

Step 4 – Deposit money again

Once you have created a secure login on MoneyPak.com, you will only need to log in with your username and password the next time you use a MoneyPak.

You can deposit funds to multiple cards using the same secure login, but each MoneyPak may only be used to deposit funds to one eligible card.

How do I log in to MoneyPak Secure Account Online?

Here’s how to log in to the Green Dot MoneyPak online account:

Step 1 – Visit the MoneyPak Website

The first step to logging into your MoneyPak account is to visit the MoneyPak website. Click here to be taken there.

Step 2 – Enter Login Information

Next, you will be asked to enter your Mobile Phone Number and Password in order to complete the login process, as shown below.

How do you get money off a green dot MoneyPak card?

Here’s how to reload the money from the MoneyPak onto your Prepaid Debit Card:

Step 1 – Create a Secure Login

The first time you use MoneyPak, you will need to enter your MoneyPak number and create a MoneyPak.com Secure Login. MoneyPak.com will remember your information, making future visits fast and easy.

Step 2 – Verify mobile

Verify your mobile phone by following the prompts during setup.

Step 3 – Load card

Enter your prepaid or bank debit card number. The funds on the MoneyPak will be deposited to the card.

Check your card’s eligibility. MoneyPak will only work with prepaid or bank debit cards that have been activated and are personalized with the recipient’s name.

How do I check the balance on my green dot MoneyPak?

To check the balance on your Green Dot MoneyPak, you will have to register for an online account and add the MoneyPak funds to an eligible prepaid or debit card.

Once you have successfully added MoneyPak funds to your prepaid account, you will be able to see the balance of the MoneyPak on your prepaid card based on the amount that was added.

How do I Add Money to a Card with MoneyPak?

Once you’ve created your MoneyPak online account, depositing money into any eligible prepaid or bank debit card is easy.

Here’s what you need to do:

First, go to MoneyPak.com, log in using the button in the top right corner (if you are on a mobile device, tap the menu icon on the top right of your screen).

Second, click on “LOAD CARD” to deposit to a saved card, or click “Add money to a new card” to deposit to a new card.

Third, enter the MoneyPak number (and if adding a new card, enter your prepaid or bank debit card number) and click add money.

Finally, after passing the limits and verification checks, the funds on the MoneyPak will be deposited to your card.

Is MoneyPak Safe to Use?

Yes, your MoneyPak is safe to use as long as you remember to treat your MoneyPak like cash.

Furthermore, only give the MoneyPak number to a person you know personally and trust.

Also, it is important to remember that no legitimate company or government agency will EVER ask you for a MoneyPak number.

What if I lose my MoneyPak Number?

Once you load cash to a MoneyPak, the MoneyPak number on the back of the package is the same as cash.

If you lose the MoneyPak or give the MoneyPak number to the wrong person and the MoneyPak is used, Green Dot cannot refund your money.

What fees come with the Green Dot MoneyPak?

Are there limits on MoneyPak Use?

Yes, there are separate limits for each card you use with MoneyPak, and for your MoneyPak profile.

Whichever limit you hit first will apply to the deposit you are attempting to make.

Furthermore, the amount you can deposit using MoneyPak may also be lower if your prepaid or bank debit card provider has limits on the amount they allow you to deposit to your card.

Can MoneyPak be used to add money to Paypal?

MoneyPaks only works with activated prepaid or bank debit cards.

You cannot use a MoneyPak to purchase goods or services, pay bills, or add money to a PayPal account.

Can I use MoneyCard to reload a Temporary Prepaid Debit Card?

No, you cannot use MoneyPak to reload temporary cards.

Temporary cards are cards that have not been registered with the card provider (or where registration was not properly completed).

In addition, temporary cards do not have the cardholder’s name on the front.

If you have a new card without your name on it, you must register it on your card provider’s website to be able to use that card with MoneyPak.

Once you have a personalized card with your name on it and have successfully registered the card, then you can use it to accept deposits from a MoneyPak as long as it is eligible.

Which Prepaid Debit Cards can I use with MoneyPak?
